Joel has been riding since the age of 17. Always competitive, it was inevitable that he started racing, twice winning the Junior Divisional RR Championships. His promising road career was short lived though – developing lumbar issues when he moved up to the senior ranks.
So in order to satisfy his competitive streak, Joel started racing time trials and he’s never looked back, becoming a prolific winner, both regionally and nationally, picking up individual and team national medals.
